Joe on the Job

Friday, February 19th, 2010 When we started this blog, we had the intentions of putting pictures of Joe at work on his job.
Up until yesterday, we were simply having problems getting them. Well now we finally have them. You see his famous smile, and the smile of his coworkers with him. They have all found him a great pleasure to work with. Some of these have known him for only a few months. Others, have had the pleasure of working with him for twenty plus years. He knows Jesus, and they have no doubt he knows Jesus.
I visited with him for a while on his job yesterday and got these pictures. As usual, you will find his smile is contagious. When I arrived, I caught him making one of his thousands of produce orders(he's standing by a box that says 'TOMATOES' on it)the next picture I am posting was a little hard for me. You will see two men standing together. The one on the right (he's wearing a red apron like Joe) was Lonzo Mormon. I am using this time and blog to pay a small honor and tribute to him for his many, many years of hard work and loyalty to my husband. Until his death(he had cancer) about two years ago, he was pretty much Joe's right hand man. As many may know, my husband has rarely taken much time off from his job. But when he did, Lonzo was there, and kept the produce going in Joe's absence. I don't think words could ever describe what he meant to Joe for so long. He was very much a blessing and he felt Joe was a great boss and a blessing to work for. Thank you Lord for the time and blessings you gave us with Lonzo. He can never be replaced. We know he is with you in Heaven.
The man in the picture with Lonzo is another very special co worker of Joe's. Everybody calls him Happy(aka Happy or Herald Cheatwood)We will have more on Him in another post.
